How Snap My Day handles personal data and photos.
This policy explains how SnapMyDay.co.uk, by AndersGroup, collects, uses, stores and deletes information when organisers create events and guests upload photos.
Important: event photos may contain identifiable people and are treated as personal data. Organisers must share event links responsibly and tell guests how photos will be collected and used.
Information we collect
- Organiser name, email address, password hash and account status.
- Event details including event name, occasion type, event date, upload link, QR code and plan.
- Guest uploader name, uploaded photos, upload time, IP address and browser/device details used for security and abuse prevention.
- Payment, upgrade, storage, email and security logs needed to run and protect the service.
Why we use it
We use this data to create event upload pages, accept guest photos, show organisers their galleries, provide downloads, send account/security emails, manage payments and protect the platform from misuse.
Photos and access
Uploaded photos are available to the event organiser through their organiser dashboard. Guests should only upload photos they have permission to share for that event. Organisers are responsible for deciding who receives the event link or QR code.
How long we keep data
Events follow the timeline shown during creation and in the organiser dashboard. Uploads close automatically, then organisers have a review/download period. Closed, expired, deleted or pending-delete events may be permanently removed from the Close & Delete admin process.
Children and sensitive images
Do not upload images of children or sensitive/private situations unless you have appropriate permission to share them for the event. If you believe a photo has been uploaded without permission, use the privacy/removal request page.
Sharing and suppliers
We do not sell personal data. Data may be processed by hosting, email and payment providers where needed to operate the service. PayPal payments are handled by PayPal and subject to PayPal’s own privacy terms.
Your rights
You can ask us to review, correct or delete personal data where legally appropriate. You can also report an uploaded photo or event link. Use the request form and include enough detail for us to identify the event/photo.
